A description of the stats follows, as well as any in game effects: STRStrength represents raw physical power. It determine how much a character can life or carry,
Strength also effect the character's ability to use some melee weapons, and to tolerate recoil from firearms. A character can carry up to 5x his STR in pounds without being encumbered, 10x his STR in pounds and be encumbered (-3 DM for all actions). A character my carry 20x his STR and is heavily encumbered and may do nothing else. A character can drag 30x his STR. DEXDexterity represents balance and hand eye coordination and related adeptness. Dexterity can also improve the basic ability with some missile weapons. Dexterity is a factor in hit points. Characters with high dexterity may be ambidextrous. Characters with low dexterity are clumbsy and may have to make additional rols for tasks requiring coordination.
High dexterity may also add to certain skills like ranged weapons. See the skill decsription for additional details. HTHHealth represents physical fitness, endurance, resistance to disease and general physical well being. Certain forms of attack are directly aimed at health: e.g. Infections, radiation and poisons. Health is also a component of total hit points, and effect healing rate and resistance to shock
INTIntelligence represents basic problem solving, natural cunning and the ability to figure things out. INT is also the basic search roll. EDUEducation represents knowledge or 'book learning'. A successful EDU roll indicated that the character has actual knowledge pertaining to the situation. Derived stats: A character cannot have more skills than the total of their INT and END.
